What is the deadline to apply?

The registration deadline for the EFOL: Teachers program is Monday, June 28th, 2021. Seats are limited, early application is encouraged.

How will attendees be selected?

The OAFEE reserves the right to choose attendees based on application and availability. A maximum of 25 attendees will be chosen to participate in the program. Accepted applicants will be notified by email following the registration deadline of June 28, 2021.

Will there be a waiting list?

All applications received beyond the initial 25 registrants will be added to a waiting list, in case an opening would become available. Accepted applicants will be contacted as soon as possible prior to the start of the program.

What is the cost of the program?

Registration takes place through our partner organization, EconomicsWisconsin. Ultimately, there is no cost to the program. A $25 refundable registration 'fee' is collected to serve as a placeholder to reserve your seat in the program. All registrations will be refunded by EW following the event.

What is the cancellation policy?

As a professional courtesy (and to avoid venue fees incurred on behalf of EW and the OAFEE), please contact us no later than June 28th, should you need to cancel your registration. A refund of the registration fee will not be granted for cancellations made after June 28th, 2021.

What is included in the event?

The event includes two days of professional instruction in economic education, and how to incorporate these lessons into your daily social studies curriculum. Multiple resources are provided, including the new presenter-authored book, "Teachers Can Be Financially Fit: Economists' Advice for Educators," as well as "Common Sense Economics" and AdamSmithWorks curriculum materials. Food and drink (breakfast, lunch and snack service) are offered for the duration of the seminar.

A two-night stay (Tuesday, July 13th and Wednesday, July 14th, 2021 with checkout on Thursday, July 15th, 2021) in a Double Queen Suite (or other, as available) at Tundra Lodge Resort in Green Bay, WI. Waterpark passes are included. Please consult hotel website for waterpark hours, rules and other amenities.

PLEASE NOTE: Tundra Lodge Resort requires a credit card be put on file at check-in, in the case of any incidentals incurred beyond the fee for rooms and waterpark passes. Any such fees are the responsibility of the seminar attendee.

Will I receive academic credit?

This is a non-academic credit bearing course and does not qualify for official Wisconsin Continuing Education Units (CEU). Professional Development credit requirements vary by state, and it is the responsibility of the attendee to confirm with their state what qualifies for licensure. A Certificate of Attendance is offered to those who make a request following the program.

Do I need to make a reservation at the hotel?
