What are the dates and location of the seminar?

January 24 & 25, 2020

8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, January 24th (followed by cocktail reception)

Who is eligible to apply?

All members of Wisconsin law enforcement and their spouses are eligible and encouraged to apply for the program.

What is the deadline to apply?

The registration/application deadline for the EFH: WISCONSIN POLICE program is Friday, December 20, 2019.*

*Applications may be accepted beyond the December 20th deadline, based on availability at The Ingleside Hotel. Should rooms or program fill, applicants will be added to a waiting list for this event. Those who we are not able to accommodate will be issued a refund of the $20 registration fee following the program.

How will attendees be selected?

The OAFEE reserves the right to choose attendees based on application and availability. First-time applicants will receive precedence over past attendees. A maximum of 25 attendees will be chosen to participate in the program. Accepted applicants will be notified by email following the registration deadline of December 20th, 2019.

Will my registration fee be refunded?

If, for some reason, you are not chosen to particpate in this particular seminar, your registration fee of $20 will be refunded within one week of the close of the event.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

As a professional courtesy (and to avoid hotel fees incurred on behalf of the OAFEE), please contact us at least three days prior to the start date of the event, should you need to cancel at any time following confirmation of your acceptance. A refund of the registration fee will not be granted for cancellations made within this three-day window.

 

Can my spouse or family join me?

Yes! We welcome all attendees to bring their families. Spouses are encouraged to attend as a seminar participant (separate application and registration fee is required.) The OAFEE will cover overnight accommodations for attendee and immediate family at the Ingleside Hotel. Please note that entertainment and adequate supervision of children is the responsibility of attendees and their families. The seminar itself is reserved for registered adult attendees.

What is included in the event?

The event includes two days of professional instruction in the areas of personal finance and economics. Food (breakfast, lunch and snack service) and drink are provided for attendees for the duration of the program. In addition, a cocktail reception with complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvers will be hosted by the OAFEE on Friday evening at the conclusion of the class session. Families and spouses are welcome!

 

A two-night stay (Thursday, January 23rd and Friday, January 24th, 2020, with checkout on Saturday, January 25th, 2020) in a Premier Room (or other, as available) at the Ingleside Hotel. Water park passes are included. Please consult hotel website for winter water park hours. PLEASE NOTE: The Ingleside Hotel requires a credit card be put on file in the case of any incidentals incurred beyond the fee for rooms and water park passes. Any such fees are the responsibility of the seminar attendee.

 

All eligible participants will receive a stipend check for $150 upon completion of the seminar.

 

How can I earn the stipend?

A $150 personal stipend check is earned by any registered first-time program attendee who participates in all sessions of the two-day event, including breakfast and lunch both days, and the cocktail reception on Friday. Please allow at least 4 weeks for processing of checks following the seminar.

NOTE: To remain in compliance with Lakeland University and IRS protocol, a completed W-9 Form must be on file before check can be processed. Form will be made available on site.

Do I need to make a reservation at the hotel?

No. The OAFEE will provide a rooming list to the hotel following the deadline date of December 20th, 2019. The information provided in the registration form below will be used to reserve your space at the event. Please complete the form in its entirity and provide any necessary information in the appropriate fields. Every effort will be made to meet your requests.
